Oh goodness, where do I even begin with these two?! Talk about the sweetest couple ever! They were so in love and it was literally contagious! I wanted to hug them both before our session was over and then go get a drink, they felt like old friends! Sarah was referred to me by one of her closest friends, Kaari, who I had the pleasure of doing some boudoir work with in the past! Kaari is a literal RAY OF SUNSHINE so I knew that Sarah and Mitchell had to be just as amazing, and I was right! I knew I wanted to work with Sarah and Mitchell after our initial Zoom call and they decided to book with me and I couldn’t have been more thrilled!
We started off at Atwood Forest Preserve in New Milford, Illinois for some more formal, outdoor shots! Sarah wore this beautiful white dress that made her skin glow and Mitchell looked prim and proper in a button down and nice blue jeans. Perfect outfits for photos! We walked around the park and had a wonderful time. We even ran across a couple deer out there and I was ecstatic, although they both laughed at me – Apparently Mitchell is a hunter. 😂
After Atwood, we made a mini journey over to a parking garage and shot some more relaxed blue jean and tee shirt style photos! It was a busy spot – lots of kids and other people coming through there, even a homeless man, but we managed to make our way through the concrete jungle up to the roof and got some absolutely stunning sunset photos! I love when sessions like this turn out so wonderfully and not only do we get beautiful photos, but the couple has an amazing time and loves their photos afterwards. This is why I love engagement sessions with my couples! It gives us a chance to meet and get to know eachother before your wedding so you’re not meeting some stranger on your wedding day! It feels like you’re hanging out with a friend all day who promises to tell you if there’s lipstick on your teeth! Haha, and that is why Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
